A personal diagnosis is created by asking questions, looking at your tongue and feeling your pulses and palpating different parts of your body. This session is used to take a full case history, and it is therefor unlikely you will receive treatment during this session. It can therefore be carried out face to face at the clinic- or over Zoom/ Skype. Please let me know your preference when booking. One to one appointment using Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Just some of the tools and techniques that may be used (depending on your personal diagnosis) include; Acupuncture- body, facial, auricular (ear) or electro Fire and suction cupping which create a vacuum to pull skin, tissue and muscles upwards to increase blood flow to the affected area to promote healing. Moxibustion- The moxa herb is lit and therapeutic heat permeates the skin and activates the flow of Qi (energy) and blood to bring about balance in the body’s energetic system. Gua Sha- Epidermal stimulation using a round-edged jade stone improves blood flow to release tension or pain in a localised area. Tui Na- A form of ancient Chinese massage that gently stimulates blood flow to release energy and help relieve tension and/ or pain. Qi Gong- A powerful system of healing and energy medicine from China which uses breathing techniques, gentle movement, and meditation to cleanse, strengthen, and circulate qi Dietary and lifestyle advice.
