For your SCU Chamber Singers audition, please bring to the a prepared piece that you feel showcases your voice. If you have the sheet music, Dr. Hanna-Weir will be happy to accompany you. Otherwise, you may sing a cappella. Any style or genre is appropriate as long as you feel confident singing it. After performing your prepared selection, you will do some vocalization to check range and some sight-reading. Please arrive 5 minutes ahead of your audition time slot. Auditions are held in Dr. Hanna-Weir’s office: Room 218 of the Music and Dance Facility at the northwest corner of campus. The SCU Chamber Singers rehearse from 3:30-6:20 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Singers in Chamber Singers register for Chamber Singers but participate in both Chamber Singers and Concert Choir (5:20-6:20). Chamber Singers generally make a year long commitment to the ensemble.

Auditions for placement on Wind, Brass, and Percussion instruments for players interested in Wind Ensemble and/or University Orchestra. Please bring a solo or excerpt of 2-3 minutes duration which you feel showcases you at your best. Auditions will be heard by Director of Wind Ensemble Dr. Anthony Rivera and Director of University Orchestra John Kennedy, and players of all experience levels are welcome.Wind Ensemble rehearses Mondays from 7:30-10:00pm, and University Orchestra rehearses Tuesdays from 7:30-10:00pm. Auditions will be held in Music Building (MDF) room 106.

Auditions will be heard by Director of University Orchestra John Kennedy, and players of all experience levels are welcome.The University Orchestra rehearses Tuesdays from 7:30-10:00pm. Sectionals are scheduled Mondays from 4:30-6:00pm with instrumental faculty and Mr. Kennedy, and rotate among different sections (3-5 sectionals per instrument per quarter). Conflict with the sectional time does not prevent you from being in orchestra.Auditions will be held in Music Building (MDF) room 106.

For rehearings for current (or past) members for the 2019-2020 season, please bring a piece of the chorale's repertoire (either current or past repertoire is fine) that you feel you can perform and showcases your voice. We'll hear a short excerpt from our repertoire, do some vocalizing, and a bit of sight reading. It's a great opportunity for Scot to get reacquainted with your voice and to provide some helpful feedback.Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to make this happen!
