Ce soin travaille principalement sur l’énergie vitale (pranamahy kosha), le système nerveux et le plan mental/émotionnel (manomahy kosha).

Le massage crânien ayurvédique apporte un équilibre dans le système nerveux, aide à clarifier et apaiser l’esprit et augmente la vitalité, tout en travaillant sur les plexus et les zones réflexes du crâne, du visage et du cou. Il travaille sur le plan mental/émotionnel (manomahy kosha) et l’énergie vitale (pranamahy kosha).

Le massage Udvartan est une exfoliation, un enlèvement de déchets et une nourriture des tissus. On utilise des poudres exfoliantes, nourrissantes et médicinales mélangées dans une huile. La préparation donne une pâte (snigdha) qui est chauffée avant l’application. Il peut aussi être réalisé simplement à l’huile chaude.
