Your first visit will be an assessment session in which we will discuss your concerns and goals. If both parties agree that we can meet your needs, a plan developed.Our goal is to provide the most effective experience available to you. To this end, we believe that the beneficial relationship is the most important aspect of working together. If we decide that other services would be more appropriate, we will assist you in finding a provider to meet your needs. Single sessions of the “fact-finding” nature, in which we touch on your question with the intent of exploring available options or questions about them, I have certified experience from substance abuse, recovery, European Shamanism, to human behavior/continuousness and spirituality in general. Over 20 years’ experience working in human behavior.RISKS AND BENEFITS: Counseling and psychotherapy are beneficial, but as with any treatment, there are inherent risks. During counseling, you will have discussions about personal issues, which may bring to the surface uncomfortable emotions. Increased depression and anxiety can present itself as various issues surface during the work of counseling. However, the benefits of counseling generally far outweigh any discomfort encountered during the process. Some of the possible benefits are improved personal relationships, reduced feelings of emotional distress, and improved problem-solving skills. We, of course, cannot guarantee these benefits however; it is our goal to work with you to attain your personal goals.APPOINTMENTS: Appointments are typically 60 minutes long. More frequent sessions or an intensive schedule are available if depending on availability. If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you let us know 24 hours in advance to free your appointment time.
