As a reminder, each 8U-14U player is allocated 10 - 30 minute lessons included in their player fee. When you have exceeded 10, please notate "additional" on your booking and pay the instructor directly ($35 per lesson).

Jake Bartels
Jake Bartels joins the Baseball Institute in 2017 as both a pitching and hitting instructor. Jake completed his collegiate career at Western Michigan University, playing all 4 seasons as a Relief Pitcher, before hanging up the cleats after graduation. Bartels served as the closer on a Western Michigan team that won the Mid-American Conference tournament and advanced to an NCAA Regional at the University of Louisville. As a closer Bartels currently stands seventh all time in single season saves and single season appearances in Western Michigan history. He also served as team captain his senior season and was awarded the WMU Coaches’ Award. Bartels graduated from Western Michigan with a degree in both finance and economics. He currently attends The John Marshall Law school on a full academic scholarship. Prior to attending Western Michigan Bartels played high-school baseball at Nazareth Academy where he received both All-Conference and All-State accolades. Currently Jake lives in Westchester Illinois and has a brother who plays baseball at St. Johns University.
