'Empowering individuals through yoga and mindfulness'

Here at my Yoga Nest I believe in making yoga accessible for everyBODY. I have Scoliosis and autism, my daughter Rosie was born with a rare mitochondrial disease and yoga has helped us through some very challenging times. Now we face life's ups and downs with more confidence and self compassion. 

I want to share what I have learnt with you, to reach out to the neuro-diverse community, those with a chronical illness, additional needs, disabilities and anyone else who had found that conventional medicine is not enough.

Yoga offers a system to aid natural and personal healing, growth and recovery. It allows individuals to become more empowered on their journey and healing process, through self exploration and discovery and radical transformation.

Yoga offers deep insight and a profound sense of inner connection and wisdom by means of practicing focused awareness during asanas (the physical postures) pranayama (breathing) and dhyana/dhrana (meditation). When these three work together this is yoga and with consistent practice the yogi then experiences samadhi (enlightenment). Put in simple terms, movement, combined with breath awareness and mindfulness is yoga!

Yin & Restorative Yoga ~ online

In Yin we hold the poses for longer periods of time, to get into the fascia system and release toxins.  As we move in and out of poses, the compression and release of the body allows fresh nutrients and blood to flow more quickly into the areas
