Take some time for yourself and join us for a daytime yoga practice each Wednesday morning at Lemons of Love. Led by Nina Ginocchio, this class emphasizes gentle motions and awareness of breath in standing, seated, kneeling and lying down postures. The intention is to leave class calm and refreshed. Class is designed to meet the needs of cancer survivors but caregivers and loved ones are also welcome. This weekly class is offered in partnership with Wellness House and is held at Lemons of Love, 406 W. Central Road, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. Space is limited and registration is required. All equipment is provided but you are welcome to bring your own mat to class. Questions? CHAIR YOGA at Lemons of Love (led by Nina Ginocchio) – This 45-minute class is designed for anyone who wants to practice yoga but doesn’t want to get up and down from the floor. We use a chair and seated poses to begin and end each class. Standing postures are used to build strength in our legs and core, so that we can maintain movement, balance, and flexibility. We begin by connecting to our breath and then we connect our breath to movement. The intention is that we will feel calm and refreshed at the end of class! This class is being offered at no charge for those affected by cancer. Join Leanne Siewart, NASM CPT, to practice relaxing your body and mind through deep breathing and guided imagery meditation. Utilize the learned techniques when experiencing difficulty sleeping. Leanne is an Oncology Exercise and Engagement Specialist. This program is being offered by Wellness House, at no charge to those affected by cancer.
