Work to your limits and you will see real gains.Our session will work your heart, lungs and muscles, as well as including those vital warm-up and cool-down sections.Expect to be running, jumping, stretching and doing bodyweight exercises – oh, and glowing!Note: You have option to use weights, however this is not a requirement.

TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS, 10AMCOST £5Get up and Go! is part of a falls prevention programme providing strength and balance sessions for older, frailer adults to improve their mobility and confidence.In order to be part of this scheme, Michelle has recently qualified as an OTAGO instructor. It means she is able to teach later life training to allow older people to avoid falls, maintain good health and remain independent.For those wondering, the qualification is named after Otago University, New Zealand where the programme was created.The scheme is backed locally by Northamptonshire Sport and West Northamptonshire Council, and can make a real difference to the lives of older people.Falls after the age of 65 can be traumatic, and cause pain and loss of autonomy.Clinical trials have shown that with the Otago programme, the number of falls in older people is reduced, and the injuries from those falls is also reduced.The programme has the greatest effect in high-risk groups: those aged over 80 years of age and those with a previous fall.The Get up and Go! sessions are held at Hardingstone Village Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am. They will last 45 minutes each.There are limited spaces available so anyone interested needs to get signed up as soon as possible.
