Why is nail care essential?You pets nails serve a purpose. Anyone who has a pets that consistently digs in the same spot in the yard knows that pets have an innate instinct to dig for treasure. They could also be making a den for themselves to cool off in on a hot day. As well, a pets claws allow them to grip their toys or hold a tasty treat. Nails also provide traction for your pet, for running up hills alongside you when out for a run. If you allow your pets nails to become too long, you risk them experiencing a deep tear or broken nail. Additionally, long nails will sometimes curl under and irritate or cut the pad of the foot.Nail Filing can give a smoother finish to the nail and go as low as possible than just trimming. Works well on thick nails. When working with dogs that have black nails, there is less chance of hitting the quick. 

Pets are brushed out to remove excessive undercoats, dead hair, built up dander, mats, and tangles.

EAR CARE AND EAR HAIR REMOVALAll pets will have their ears cleaned with a mild ear cleaner. If your pet has an ear infection Andrew will let you know so you may consult your veterinarian. Ear hair will be removed/not removed based on your preference and your vet’s advice. Ear hair removal is typically a standard part of the grooming process, if you choose to not have your pet’s ear hair removed please let the Groomer know.
