The Clay Canvas: paint-it-yourself ceramic studio is a great alternative when considering things to do, especially if you have a creative bent, but even if you feel you don't have a single creative bone in your body there is something about just chilling and decorating a bowl even if you have never done it before. Some say being creative is food for the soul, but you will have to try it out for yourself...

Cost: $300.00 up to 10 painters included. ($30.00 each additional painter)Children (ages 5 and older) will create their own 16 x 20 canvas masterpiece through step by step instruction during a 1 hour and 30 minute event.**Deposit of $100.00 is collected at the time of booking. A perfect taster for complete beginners and those looking to experiment. Perfect for anyone wanting to engage with the traditional craft of hand weaving on a floor loom. Your loom will be thread for you ready for your workshop in a range of colours. We have a huge stash of yarns at your complete disposal for this workshop but you're welcome to bring in any materials you'd like to experiment with. A tutor will be on hand throughout the entire session. We encourage you to take the workshop at your own pace, there's no right or wrong as long as you are enjoying yourself. Learn the whole process of weaving on a floor loom, from dressing the loom to freestyle weaving on your own warpThis full day workshop is perfect for those wanting to expand their technical weaving knowledge. Make your memories timeless with ceramic Imprints. An impression of a hand, foot or paw is made into clay as soft as butter, then it is shaped, dried and fired in my Kiln, hand painted by me and re-fired in the kiln for a second time, before setting into a custom made frame or strung with a beautiful ribbon for hanging. Pottery Join Jeri Galvin from Kiln & Compass for a guided introduction to wheel-throwing, where you’ll learn the fundamentals and create your own pot. Each one-to-one session lasts 2 hours: 90 minutes of hands-on wheel time plus 30 minutes for instruction and clean-up.All materials are provided. If you’re looking for a fun way to spend quality time with family, colleagues, or just to relax and take a break from the busy world around you with a soothing and mindfulness craft, I invite you to experience the gentle process of hand-building and creating pottery even if you’ve never touched wet clay before. If you’ve never touched clay before, this is the beginner's class for you.  $90 for two hours of instruction and creation of 2-3 pieces of your own work. Learn the basics of wheel-throwing, including centering, opening, pulling, and shaping a clay vessel, cut off and other introductory skills. This course will look at ways that the hands and the wheel can be used together to create ceramic forms, both functional and sculptural. Explore a range of making, joining and painting/decorating techniques and the variety of options that are available for use when working with the ceramic medium. This course is perfect for beginning or experienced makers. 

Thursday  7pm -9pmMixed Business will allow students to experiment with clay using not one particular technique but instead combining both hand building and wheel throwing. This course will look at ways that the hands and the wheel can be used together to create ceramic forms, both functional and sculptural.
