Hello everyone! I'm a 28-year-old second-year psychology graduate student at UNYP, and I'm very excited to meet you all. In addition to my studies, I work as a kindergarten manager, an experience that has really shaped my understanding of human behaviour. I'm interested in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and believe that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours are all interconnected. I'm here to help you uncover the roots of your difficulties, understand new perspectives, and create positive change. I truly believe that while difficulties exist all around us, we have the capacity to challenge and unravel ourselves and, at times, get out of our safe space. I can offer you a safe space to open up and, with a focus on positivity, begin a journey toward self-love, self-confidence, and happiness. 

Kate completed her master’s degree in psychology at the University of New York in Prague. She is currently undergoing training as a psychotherapist in the person-centred approach (PCA). She is also a certified mindset coach, trained in crisis intervention, and has completed several courses in communication, leadership, and palliative care. Her counselling approach is grounded in PCA values: empathy, authenticity, and respect. Kate believes in the potential of each person to find their own way to growth and healing. Before becoming a psychologist, Kate worked in mid-senior roles in international corporate environments, which provided her with valuable experience in working with people from diverse cultures and understanding the pressures that affect their well-being. At UNYP, Kate supports students in navigating challenges such as stress, anxiety, relationships, bereavement, and other difficult life situations. She provides a safe and non-judgemental space where students can talk openly, make sense of their experiences, and move toward what matters most to them.
