This helps detect myopia and measure its severity. 4. Biometry and Axial Length Measurement: The axial length of the eye is the distance from the front (cornea) to the back (retina) of the eye. In myopia, the eye is typically longer than normal, which causes light entering the eye to focus in front of the retina, leading to blurry vision when looking at distant objects. This test is especially helpful in children because it can provide insight into how the eye is growing over time.
