Session InfoShamanic healing sessions are from 30 minutes to 1 hour.  30 minutes for over the phone and 1 hour for in person sessions. Shamanic medicine is a tradition dating back 25000 years. To better understand how a shamanic healing works it is important to understand some of the fundamental concepts of what shamanism is. It is a specific set of methodologies for accessing the spirit or energy field of anything or anyone. The essential perspective of shamanism is:Everything is alive. Everything has spirit and awareness.Energy and matter are the same. Everything is vibration. Everything that exists is an energy system within a greater energy system.Everything that exists is connected to everything else in a web of energy or life.Unseen/inner/spiritual reality affects visible reality.Working within this system of perceptions, the healer strives to create balance and harmony of the spirit. This is a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance and can be focused on the individual or the community. This also can be applied to anything that exists.By using shamanic practices a wide spectrum of healing is possible. Shamanic healing takes place in many forms, depending on what spirit recommends. This can include plant, herb and mineral spirit medicine, the use of song and other instruments to move and transform energy, visualization, soul retrieval, extraction, hands on massage or physical body manipulation. Everything means the earth, air, water, trees, plants, your body, mountains, you name it; it is Spirit. Shamans, (including the great masters) know eventually we will all wake up to this great truth and whether we believe it or not, doesn’t matter.For this awakening to happen, we have to remove that which keeps us separate from knowing who we are in Spirit. Again, anything that keeps us from seeing Spirit in all things has to be surrendered.In the South American Andean highland traditions of the Q’ero and Quechua peoples, they speak of the Poq’po or energy field that surrounds the physical body. They believe that a clean Poq’po or energy field is crucial to a healthy physical body. Dis-ease starts first in this energy field and then moves to the physical. The poq’po can become caked with heavy or dense energy called Hucha. This hucha can cause the physical body to become unbalanced and susceptible to disease. As there is heavy, dense energy, there is also very high frequency energies call Sami. When the poq’po is filled with sami, the physical is energized, feels healthy, light and clear, the mind is calm and the higher emotions of gratitude, love, compassion and appreciation are present. To remove hucha, it’s helpful to have a shamanic energy healing.Importantly, these shamanic people accept life as it presents. They do not refer to sami as good and hucha as bad; it is just a difference in frequency. Therefore, they offer no resistance to what is. In the same way, a shamanic practitioner views your issues in a neutral way.Where does hucha come from? Matthew Magee, in his book Peruvian Shamanism: The Pachakuti Mesa, explains hucha is generated by resistance to flow of life in the form of attachments that create stress. He states,Resistance is typically fear based. Its energy constricts. In other words, our bodies can accumulate density through resistance to the natural flow of life and to circumstances that we perceive do not best serve us. Much like a clogged drain, continued resistance causes more and more residue to accumulate, eventually leading to blockage. Once a blockage occurs, the body’s natural energetic flow is obstructed causing the accumulation of hucha to begin manifesting in the physical and/or psychological bodies.Hucha can accumulate over many lifetimes of the soul’s journey, and therefore, it may take focus, dedication and strong intention to eliminate. This is where shamanic healing can be of benefit.People seek shamanic healing when they are confused about a decision, when resistance arises or when feeling stuck, when issues from the past present themselves, for depression, anxiety, or aftermath of accidents and trauma, for relationship difficulties, or to achieve a goal or start new projects.The purpose of shamanic healing is to cleanse the body, to clear the energy field, to restore balance to the physical, to focus the mind, and to give the Spirit a peaceful home in which to reside and create. Sami is the state we seek to attain in shamanic healing to nurture those energies of love, gratitude and connection to all of life that is Spirit.

How can a space clearing help?Space clearing means clearing the space on an energetic level. The reason behind the need for space clearing is simple: just as on a physical level you see the dust and dirt accumulating in your home as a result of daily activities, the same happens on an energetic level. You may not see the "dust and dirt" of human emotions, but they do accumulate in any space, so it is best to clear them out regularly.Generally, it is recommended to do a thorough space clearing session at least once a year in your home, or after intense events with negative energy, such as a divorce, for example. It is also very important to space clear a house that you just moved in, especially if it is a foreclosure house.What is space clearing?A Space Clearing is a process which addresses problems on a physical level that seem to be arising from unseen events or processes.How do these imbalances occur?From a shamanic point of view, energetic imbalances can occur in a space when energies get trapped there. Also, psychic imprints from events that have occurred in a space can continue to effect events or circumstances in that space after the original event has occurred. From a shamanic point of view, disturbances often occur because spirits who are confused get caught in a particular space due to a variety of reasons.How would I know I need a space clearing?You might experience an uneasy feeling in the space. There may be electrical problems, strange sounds or anamolous experiences or other events which occur in the space. People entering the space may feel uneasy, cold or breathless, or experience other unusual physical symptoms. People may experience a feeling of bad luck or business problems in the space.Who does the space clearing?The Space Clearing Society of the Foundation of the Sacred Stream consists of practitioners who are trained in advanced shamanic practices drawn from many different cultures. These practices are designed to address the energetic imbalances at the level on which they occur.What is the process of space clearing?Space clearing processes differ according to the types of imbalances that are occurring in the space. The approach is always one based in compassion and positive intention. Usually the process takes an hour or two and is done by a group.
