Some subject which will be touched upon in. the masterclas are :Where does indigo come from? How does it behave, and why is denim blue? We will bring you all the answers. Celia learned and developed a deep passion for the craft of Indigo Dyeing in Japan. Ongoing research and exploration of the blue, natural gold, made her a specialist in using this fascinating dye. Playing with natural indigo will amaze workshop participants and leave them with a timeless product that will tell a story.You will work on a bandana and a organic totebag with zipper if you wish to work on your own garments or fabric you can bring these with a max of 200 gr  weight of fabric per person.The workshop will happen when min. 3 people subscribe, if this is not the case you can choose a new date.We will let you know one week before if the workshop will happen.

During this workshop you will learn how to work with ink floating on water and create different prints with these.Marbling is based on an ancient Japanese technique called “Suminagashi”, which translates into “ink to float on water”. We apply this mesmerizing technique in a contemporary way to upcycle waste fabrics or create designs on shoes and clothes. This basic workshop is done with waterbased acrylic paints. You will first trial on paper, then fabric and if you wish finish on a product.Be aware price is excl VAT 21 %. we will send an invoice after your reservation is done.

This 4 h long workshop is intended for anyone interested in making their own plant based watercolor inks. I am also offering this course on a one to one basis, so if you prefer you can contact us to morning or afternoon to suit you.We will teach you about several natural pigments and where they are from and what is their history connected to dye color.You will learn how to use the material, make up a suitable print binder and mix to form the natural ink. The aim is to make a selection of 3 or more different coloured inks and try them out of course. You will use a small glass muller which you can take home to continue to be able to create natural ink at home.The glass muller is worth 35 euro, it is included in the price of te workshop.Location: The Blue Print Studio is located in a green area Just outside of Amsterdam, reachable by tram 2 or easy by car or bike. We have free parking.The workshop will take place starting from 4 participants if we don't have enough people to start we inform you max 3 days before. You can then either rebook or get a refund.
