Manual  lymphatic drainage & scar tissue therapyThese therapies can be used together or as stand-alone treatments. Both therapies may provide significant emotional support, promoting relaxation and well-being at a challenging stage of recovery alongside the physical improvements. MLD: gentle, rhythmic techniques designed to stimulate the lymphatic system by creating subtle changes in tissue pressure.  MLD promotes the movement of excess fluid from the tissues into the lymphatic circulation which aids in the reduction of swelling in limbs and can increase functional recovery. Up to 6 treatments may be offered subject to clinical review and depending on your need.  Access is via strict clinical referral only and treatment is delivered solely at the therapist's discretion SCAR TISSUE: gentle and precise techniques to improve scar mobility, reduce hypersensitivity, alleviate itching and discomfort and encourage functional recovery.  Treatment is adapted to the type, size and depth of scar.  No oils are used, and strokes are carefully applied to remodel tissue and stimulate the healing process. Progress will be regularly assessed and with the patient’s consent, photographs may be taken to support clinical monitoring and evaluation of treatment outcomes. Up to four treatments may be offered subject to clinical review and depending on your need.  Access is via strict clinical referral only and treatment is delivered solely at the therapist's discretion.
