Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains and contracted areas such as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage therapy. Still, the movement is slower, and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on tension and pain areas to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles).

Through the movement we learn to embody whatever is happening inside of us.We come to space with an intention to heal, let go, explore, connect and to fully surrender. By developing Self Awareness, we expand body language and explore different narratives the dance floor can offer.Finding the limitations, discovering flow and constantly letting go of any mind's narratives presented in the very moment. To get to know more about myself and the practice please visit my website.

Our next ‘Sunday Solas’ dance we are going to have on the 14th of August in the morning from 11am until 1pm. We will go for a swim and maybe the Dun Laoghaire market for some lunch after if you would like to join us. Sunday Solas  is a bi-weekly event where souls come together on the dance floor with open hearts in gratitude. It is a practice for those who wish to expand their self- awareness within the dance. As a practice, dance is dynamic - rather than a static form of meditation. Through movement - from solo practice to connection with others - we explore body language in both time and space. We look forward to your presence on the dance floor!Big Love,Rob & IngridYou can learn more about this event here.
