Parents can get some grown-up time to explore Florence while we work with the kids on a chosen project ranging from drawing & painting (the basis of art) to fresco / graffito, mosaic, mixed media, or sculpture under the guidance of our studio artist and arts educator, Marco or one of his Fine Arts docents at his exclusive art academy right in the heart of Florence. Kids only or family art projects taking inspiration from the beauty of Florence. You can choose which option fits your "piccoli artisti" best: Kids or Family private workshop 100 euro/ student for 2.5 hr. lesson OR Your children join a group art class with local Italian children 50 euro/child 1.5hr. or 100/child for 3hr. All materials included. Deposit of 50 euros requested at time of booking, you can pay the balance on the day of your class.

This course begins with an art history lesson explaining the origins and techniques of typical Tuscan ceramic arts, followed by a step-by-step workshop on painting plates with typical Renaissance designs along with a snack and tea or wine in the artist's studio. Tijdens de proefles krijg je alle materialen die nodig zijn en een drankje. Na deelname kan je beslissen of je verder wilt gaan met de cursus. Onze ervaren schildercoach Fiona Hoogmoed zal je door het proces begeleiden. Kies een datum en tijd om mee te doen.

Je ben in een ontspannen omgeving bezig met een schilderij en kan even tot jezelf komen. De mooiste creaties komen uit jezelf en kunnen van ver komen. Dit ervaar je tijdens de stilte. Ik begeleid je daarbij. Tijdens deze twee uur durende workshop verzorg ik een kopje koffie of thee en iets lekkers. Daarnaast is het materiaal inbegrepen. Het schilderij neem je uiteraard mee naar huis, zodat je te allen tijde jouw creatie kan bewonderen. De workshop wordt gegeven in mijn atelier In de Hoge Hoed in Koog aan de Zaan en kost €35,- per persoon.

Life models: Please arrive at LEAST 20 minutes before we are due to start. At House of Toad on Wednesdays we begin at 6pm. If you arrive less than 10 minutes before we begin the session, the hosts have the right to book another model as they may assume you are not coming. Please bring a robe with you and get changed when you arrive. Feel free to wait in the changing room or come and sit where you'll be posing, before the session begins so that our event hosts can introduce you in good time. Please prioritise standing poses for the 2s and 5s. You can do some seated poses for the 10s but please save lying down poses for the 20s only, thank you! Please avoid lying flat on the floor for any of your poses as it is very difficult for sketchers to see you. Of course if you have any disabilities or physical discomfort, let ATYN hosts know at the beginning and we will set up a comfortable place for you to pose. Please contact your hosts the following day with your bank details. Please note that models who arrive on time and create new and interesting poses will be asked back to work more frequently.
