The Clay Canvas: paint-it-yourself ceramic studio is a great alternative when considering things to do, especially if you have a creative bent, but even if you feel you don't have a single creative bone in your body there is something about just chilling and decorating a bowl even if you have never done it before. Some say being creative is food for the soul, but you will have to try it out for yourself...

Make your memories timeless with ceramic Imprints. An impression of a hand, foot or paw is made into clay as soft as butter, then it is shaped, dried and fired in my Kiln, hand painted by me and re-fired in the kiln for a second time, before setting into a custom made frame or strung with a beautiful ribbon for hanging. Pottery Join Jeri Galvin from Kiln & Compass for a guided introduction to wheel-throwing, where you’ll learn the fundamentals and create your own pot. Each one-to-one session lasts 2 hours: 90 minutes of hands-on wheel time plus 30 minutes for instruction and clean-up.All materials are provided. To get the most from your session, we recommend: Watching a few wheel-throwing tutorials on YouTube in advance Keeping nails short Wearing comfortable clothing (no skirts) Tying back long hair Price: €60 per 2-hour session This includes one clay pot, which we will fire for you.Additional clay can be purchased at €10 per 1 lb, including kiln firing. If you’re looking for a fun way to spend quality time with family, colleagues, or just to relax and take a break from the busy world around you with a soothing and mindfulness craft, I invite you to experience the gentle process of hand-building and creating pottery even if you’ve never touched wet clay before. Costs €18 per person and €10per 1lb of clay thereafter per person. 

Perfect class for first-timers (or those who've kind of forgotten how). If you’ve never touched clay before, this is the beginner's class for you.  $90 for two hours of instruction and creation of 2-3 pieces of your own work. Learn the basics of wheel-throwing, including centering, opening, pulling, and shaping a clay vessel, cut off and other introductory skills. We cover the entire wheel throwing process, from start to finish, plus, you get to create 2-3 pieces, all within a two-hour class session.Class includes all instruction, clay, wheels, bucket, personal-use tools and supplies and clean apron.All trimming, carving (to reduce excess clay mass), bisque and glaze firing functions will be performed by the studio team.While you choose your glaze colors; we do the cleanup of the work space – it's just that simple!You come in and pick-up your finished ceramics in the coming weeks...NOTE:  Actual glaze colors may vary slightly from any test tile.
