Donation pick-ups directly from the donor's location are currently scheduled twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesday's of the month. We have a limited number of pick-ups that we can schedule on any particular day - the number of which will fluctuate depending on the size and location of existing scheduled pick-ups. We may have to delay scheduling new pick-ups during periods when our Furniture Ministry warehouse is at full capacity.

This is our most flexible option for scheduling donations to our Furniture Ministry. If you have the ability to drop off your donation directly to our warehouse we are able to offer more flexible time options for that exchange. You will still need to contact our office to make sure that someone will be available to meet you at the warehouse at your preferred time, but we will do everything we can to accommodate you for a time that works for you.

Clients receiving furniture must pick up their furniture directly from our warehouse. At this time we DO NOT provide delivery service. We must hold clients to those limits to allow the same opportunities to all of our Furniture Ministry clients in need.Clients must have a truck large enough to accommodate all of their furniture needs in one load and must have help with them to assist in loading their items onto the truck. Due to the necessary paperwork and inventory tracking of outgoing items, our warehouse staff is unable to assist in loading furniture items.Clients with open-ended trucks should also bring rope and tie-downs to secure any furniture loads before departing the warehouse. If rope is available at the warehouse, clients may make use of it provided that they make arrangements to return it to our office at Holy Angels church upon unloading their items. HOWEVER, DUE TO THE NUMBER OF CLIENT APPOINTMENTS ON ANY GIVEN DAY CATHOLIC CHARITIES CANNOT GUARANTEE THE AVAILABILITY OF ROPE OR TIE-DOWNS FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. A maximum of 2 visitors will be permitted providing they all reside in the same household.·         No drop-in visits are permitted.·         Visit will be scheduled by contacting the recreation department and booking an available time slot at least 48 hours in advance.·         Visiting Hours: Visits are scheduled in 30 minute time slots with time in between to allow for disinfecting all surfaces that were or may have been touched by residents or visitor.·         The visitor cannot book visit using voicemail. The visitor must have visit confirmed with the recreation department to determine that the time slot is available.·         The name of the resident and the name of the visitor(s) must be provided at booking. The visitor(s) is not to visit any other resident or come in contact with any residents that are outside.·         Visitor must bring their own face mask on the day of the visit and wear while on the property.Day of visit:·         The visitor will self screen at home for any symptoms - fever, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, hoarse voice, difficulty swallowing, new smell or taste disorder(s), nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, unexplained fatigue/malaise, chills, headache. Have you had any exposure to a close contact with respiratory illness or probable or confirmed case of Covid-19? Have you traveled internationally within the last 14 days? If the visitor has any of these symptoms, or answers YES to the questions, they should not visit.·         Visitor to provide their own face mask and personal lawn chair.·         Visitor must put on their face mask when they arrive on property and before approaching the screening desk.·         Screener will complete the screening tool including taking the visitor’s temperature.·         If the visitor does not pass screening, does not have a face mask, they cannot visit the resident.·         If required, the screener will contact the RN to assist when visitation is denied.·         Screener will direct the visitor to complete hand hygiene.·         Screener will complete the required details of the visitor and the resident being visited on the visitor log.·         Visitor will go to the designated outdoor or visiting area outside.·         The resident will be brought to the designated outdoor or visiting area by staff.·         Physical (Social) distance of minimum 6 feet must be maintained at all times.·         No food items, treats, snacks or beverages to be exchanged with the resident or permitted on site.·         No gifts or parcels to be exchanged with the resident.·         There is to be no physical contact (no touching, no hugging, no kissing).Consequences of not following protocols:These protocols are in place to keep residents and staff safe. It is important to understand that these visits are non-contact visits (no hugging, touching or kissing). No food items, treats, snacks or beverages to be exchanged. If any of these protocols are not followed, residents could be exposed to Covid-19. Therefore, failure to follow them may result in revocation of visiting privileges. In addition, your resident may have to be placed in isolation for 14 days in order to keep the other residents safe.
