Escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and join us here at Patou Alpacas for a relaxing walk around the perimeter of the farm. (Please note that this is an unaccompanied walk, you will not be walking with an alpaca).See the alpacas grazing, the babies (cria) feeding or charging around and take as many pictures as you like. The circuit is about 800m long with a fairly steep climb to finish, but take your time and enjoy the views of over 60 alpacas on the edge of the Blackdown Hills. Once you have completed your walk you are welcome to enjoy your own private picnic at our ‘Alpaca Viewpoint’ (We only have one group visiting per day).From this panoramic spot looking out westwards towards Exmoor and the Quantocks you can continue to watch the rest of the Patou herd. The whole experience is out in the fresh air, there are no gates to handle and the picnic table and benches are disinfected after each use. This relaxing and uplifting experience lasts for up to 2 hours. The walk is unaccompanied but we will be here to answer as many questions as you have about the alpacas if required during your picnic.Please note that although we provide the tables, benches and the view we do not provide any refreshments. You must bring all that you need for your picnic and we ask that you leave the 'Alpaca Viewpoint' as you found it.This experience is for a group of up to 6 people and costs £50. £10 DISCOUNT IF ANY MEMBER OF YOUR PARTY WORKS FOR THE NHS, THE EMERGENCY SERVICES (AMBULANCE, FIRE, POLICE), HM FORCES (ARMY. NAVY, RAF) OR IN SOCIAL CARE.The 'Alpaca Viewpoint' is on top of a hill and faces due west. If it is windy, it will be windy here! We suggest that you check the weather forecast before your experience and bring adequate clothing if it looks like being a bit breezy!This is a working alpaca stud farm and the alpacas are left to be alpacas, as such they do what comes naturally and do not necessarily 'perform' for visitors unless they choose to!  PLEASE DO NOT COME IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL OR IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS ASSOCIATED WITH COVID 19.
