A Thorough Examination & Test (TExT) is the legally required inspection of Local Exhaust Ventilation systems under COSHH Regulation 9(2). It verifies system performance through quantitative airflow testing, hood face velocity measurements, static pressure checks, filter condition assessment, and comparison against design criteria to ensure adequate control of airborne contaminants.
