The objective of this course is to enable existing and new
taxi drivers to develop their understanding of how to safeguard and protect
children, young people and vulnerable adults as well as how to respond to
evidence or concerns that a child, young person or vulnerable adult has been
abused.
This qualification is suitable for adults and will provide
an understanding of safeguarding which can be used in a workplace, activity
group or any instance where a person comes into contact with children or adults
at risk. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge to identify a
safeguarding concern, record a disclosure and report to the appropriate person.
The course duration is 2.5 hours.
In addition to this you will also be required to log back
into take the Professional Discussion, which is a 30 minute test of your
knowledge that is based on the course content.
In order to complete the course, you will be expected to
complete and pass the Professional Discussion.
Once you book your place on the course, we encourage you to
pre-book your Professional Discussion slot in advance, which you can do by
calling our office on 0330 111 7230 as soon as you book the course.
Alternatively, you will be allocated a Professional Discussion timeslot. To
pass the Professional Discussion, you must score a minimum of 15 out of 22.
The Professional Discussion timeslots typically start from
13:00 to 17:30 on the day of the course.
The course will be conducted on an online video call, you
will be sent access details the day before the course. The course is followed
by a chance to revise before taking the Professional Discussion.
