Here at Feet-Matter-Ceredigion we offer a Diabetic Foot Check at your first appointment. This tells us your risk factor for developing foot-related complications such as Peripheral Arterial Disease (damaged nerves = restriction of blood supply to the lower legs and feet resulting in pain and discolouration) and Peripheral Neuropathy (numbness, burning or pins and needles in the feet resulting in loss of sensation). Included in your first appointment is a foot doppler, a monofilament test, and an observational foot check. If you are deemed high risk we can refer you for appropriate care. The tests may also pick up early signs of these problems. Allow 1 hour.We can offer advice on how to care for your feet and we can provide a treatment plan to assist with this.

And while they can sometimes go away on their own, most people find they linger around for years causing embarrassment and discomfort upon walking. They are also contagious under the right conditions. Maybe you've tried different things and can't get rid of it. Maybe you feel it's time to let a professional help.We use a treatment called Verrutop. It's a non-invasive treatment that uses Nitrizinc complex to dry out the lesions, which can lead to cell death and the removal of the verruca. Up to 6 treatments can be used at 2 weekly intervals. At each session we debride the verruca(e) and apply the solution precisely and effectively. This product can only be used by a trained professional. After 6 sessions we will review. Many people have found Verrutop to be fast and effective by 6 sessions, however.
