Like most preventative health measures, maps like this of the body and how to treat it are ancient and simple. Yet, they have been lost over the centuries as society veered more and more outward. Reflexology was only rediscovered about a hundred years ago. There are thousands of nerve endings that meet in the feet. They correspond with different organs and parts of the body. Putting pressure on these points affects that body part bringing circulation, oxygen and relief of tension. It is just one of the many miracles of inherent to the body and it's capacity to heal itself if given the right support. It may hard to believe so it is usually best understood through experiencing it.
