This test checks for Snoring, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Central Sleep Apnea, Blood Oxygen during sleep, sleep position.Before a home sleep study night, our friendly sleep therapist will show you how to apply the sensors and monitors, and how to use the recording device during the night.On the night you’ve scheduled your home sleep test, you’ll follow your normal evening routine, prepare for sleep, attach everything as you’ve been shown and start the recording. A Functional Assessment is the evaluation of a patient before he or she embarks on a physical rehabilitation programme. It involves taking a history from the owner and assessing the animal's posture, demeanour, gait and condition of the neuro-muscular and musculo-skeletal systems.

This is a physical rehabilitation treatment which may include various different modalities. Your animal must have undergone a Functional Assessment before these appointments can be booked.

An Underwater Treadmill Treatment involves the dog going into a glass tank that fills with water to the appropriate height for that specific dog. Within the glass tank there is a treadmill belt.  We can control the speed of the treadmill as well as vary the height of the water, introduce inclines and jets to challenge the dog when appropriate.  We use the properties of water, i.e. buoyancy, resistance, cohesion and surface tension to off-load arthritic and/or painful joints and to improve muscle tone and bulk in the supporting muscles.  Underwater Treadmill Treatment is also excellent for weight loss and gait re-training. Only dogs who have undergone a Functional Assessment may book for an Underwater Treadmill treatment.  Although the sessions are booked for 45 minutes, we will only work the dog at the level of difficulty that is appropriate for him or her on the day.
