Gestalt è un termine tedesco che significa forma, a significare ciò che emerge dallo sfondo manifestandosi in figura. La percezione della realtà muta a seconda dell’osservatore, ognuno nota ciò che per lui è importante e costruisce così il proprio universo esistenziale, attraverso questo processo di figura-sfondo che introduce nella realtà spessore e ricchezza.

La filosofia della Gestalt ha come obiettivi fondamentali la focalizzazione sul presente, il qui e ora, e la comprensione della complessità, intesa come la compresenza dei molteplici aspetti che coesistono nella realtà in molte forme.

Nel lavorare con questo approccio il gruppo è una grande risorsa, le persone infatti non si scelgono mai per caso e ciò che avviene quando si costituisce un cerchio gestaltico è quasi magico. In un cerchio gestaltico ognuno ha l’opportunità di mettere in scena un conflitto, personale o intrapersonale, una situazione che si ripete, un ciclo non chiuso che ha bisogno di essere osservato e risolto. Il sostegno energetico del gruppo e l’azione concreta sulla scena, permetteranno di osservare e comprendere meglio la dinamica in atto, chiudere nel qui e ora cicli aperti da tempo, trovare risposte che faticavano ad arrivare e comprendere che nessuno è solo nelle proprie difficoltà.
