Sobre a empresa
We are on a mission to return Thailand wildlife species back to where they were previously extinct from the wild. Since 1992, we have operated several wildlife sanctuaries that are focused on providing appropriate housing and caring for animals. Our Gibbon Rehabilitation Project aims to rescue, rehabilitate and release confiscated gibbons from Illegal tourist industry back to its habitat.Nossa equipe

Than - Gibbon Expert
Hi, you can call me Than. Before I started to volunteer at the Wild Animal Rescue Foundation of Thailand (WARF) full time, I have learned to love wild animals since I was a kid. WARF was founded in 1992 by my mother and her friends. I remember growing up caring for hundreds of rescued gibbons, orphan bears, blinded tigers in our backyard. This whole life experience inspired me to pursue my study in environment, forestry, and ecotourism. Now I spend 50% of my time in the forest and another 50% in an organization management. I also go out to local schools to educate children about saving wildlife and environment. I love talking to visitors, meeting people, and sharing my knowledge. I can’t wait to welcome you all to this beautiful Phuket city!

1-Hour learning course about Gibbon Rehabilitation. You will learn how we have managed to save Gibbons from abuse in the tourist industry to a natural life back in the jungle.
You will hear people that have many years of experience with getting Gibbons ready to spend their lives back in the wild. And who have spent years getting Gibbons back in the rainforest where they should be, telling you all about the Gibbons and how the long rehabilitation and reintroduction is done. It will all take place at the rehabilitation site at the rim of the last remaining tropical rainforest of Phuket, Khao Pra Taew national park.
Free time to visit the waterfall
Spare time before or after the visit to trek to the beautiful Bang Pae waterfall. You may bring a change of clothes if you want to get into the water.
Where your money goes to?
All donations will go straight to benefit the Gibbons way back into the wild and to support our project.

The project is normally open 7 days a week for walk-ins, but during the pandemic, it has been closed for over one and a half years. Now we are open only for pre-booked visits by fully vaccinated visitors to prevent a spread of COVID-19.
