Reveal and befriend what is most elusive in your psyche.  The "Shadow Self" is a term coined by Carl Jung that describes aspects of ourselves that we have repressed or pushed into the unconscious during childhood and throughout our lives.  Shadow work involves integrating these aspects of the unconscious psyche into our conscious experience in order to accept ourselves fully and become aware of our projections onto external situations and people.
