Using one of the earliest techniques to form clay, you'll get your hands dirty and experience the joy of molding and shaping clay with your fingers.

Long nails are not recommended for the pinch pot technique.

If you don’t need any more mugs, consider using the pinch pot technique to make a little matcha bowl, snack bowl, or trinket dish.

Students will be guided on how to create three mushroom ornaments from stoneware clay.

We will be creating these so that they can sit up on their own and glazing them all with red tops per traditional yule mushrooms. We will guide students in installing the optional wire loop so the mushrooms can easily be hung.

After a few weeks, return to pick up your finished piece.

From this class, you will make a passport holder and be introduced to basic leather making tools. You will learn how to construct a passport holder and techniques such as saddle-stitching, cutting leathers, and edge-painting. Have fun personalizing your passport holder by engraving initials (upon request)!

If you're looking to spend a couple of hours of uninterrupted quiet time, this is the perfect lesson. It's just you, maybe some music, and the wheel. The individual introductory lesson includes approximately 1.5 hours of private instruction and includes all tools, 2 pounds of clay, and enough glaze to complete one finished and fired piece.

Use this to book a 1 hour block for throwing on the wheel during when there are no classes in session. If you would like to book 2 hours you can book two slots back to back but please do not book more than that. There are only 10 people allowed in the room at a time so if the time you are interested in is not available that means that the time slot is full. You can see how many people, out of the 10 allowed spaces, are already signed up underneath the time listed. Tuesdays and Thursday from 11:00am -1:00pm the studio will only be open to senior members. You will not see bookings for those times here. If you are a senior member and would like to book those time slots please use the "Senior Hours" time block bookings.
