The MT Push chair provides inclusive access as it has the ability to push over a wide variety of terrain. It does not have a unique lever drive system so that riders can propel themselves. Instead it has an adjustable push handle located behind the user, and the helper operates steering and braking.

The maximum weight of the wheelchair user is 100KG, and maximum height is 6’4.

You will find the code for the chair at The Stone Crab and the chair is located by the yellow/white and blue/white booking offices. The chair is left outside so we recommend you  have resources to wipe it down before use.

The our newly refurbished Landeez all terrain chair is our medium size chair able to accommodate children and adults.

This chair does not come with its own straps and seatbelts so bring your own if this is something you envisage needing.

Having booked the chair you can collect the padlock code from the Dennis Cafe, this is usually busy peak season so if you are booking the chair for the boat excursion ensure you add extra time for collection.

This medium size chair will fit a child or small framed adult.

Mobi-Mat RecPath Beach Matting was designed for safe access on the beach! It is suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, prams. 

This is lightweight rolled up matting that can lock together or pinned to the ground.

The Invacare Birdie EVO and Birdie EVO Compact are specially designed to offer a comfortable lift and transfer to or from beds, chairs, or even the floor. We can provide video guidance on how to use with our beach wheelchairs. Ideal for use in domestic and residential care environments, the hoists are designed to fold and unfold easily without the need for tools.

Birdie EVO provides comfort and ease of use. Invacare’s patient lifting equipment maximises space for the client even when the hoist is in its highest position. This gives an ergonomic lift, and transfer, as the client can be easily rotated 360°, which makes positioning much easier for the carer.

Ease of handling is another notable feature the hoist has been made as smooth and easy as possible and can easily be folded and unfolded without the need for tools. It takes up minimal space when stored and  easy to push and transport. If required, the mast and boom can also be easily detached from the base for easy transportation without any tools required.

The Birdie EVO is CE-certified in line with the Medical Device Directive 93/42/ECC. The hoists have been rigorously tested by Invacare and the German TÜV institute – an accredited external body. This is to ensure that the hoists comply with EN ISO 10535 (the European standard for hoists).

The Compact version offers a smaller footprint making it easier to manoeuvre and operate within environments where space is limited. Its lifting range is 530-1590mm and has amaximum user weight of 150kg.

Please note that there are no hoists or stand aids on site
The individual will need a measure of core strength to stay sitting upright in the chair as the safety belt will not support posture.
