The Halton Children's Safety Village is happy to offer the following classes through the months of April- June 2026. You will be prompted to select your chosen program after selecting your preferred date and time. 1151 Bronte Road, Oakville, ONKindergarten: Pedestrian SafetyThe Kindergarten Pedestrian Safety Program will teach children about personal and community safety. Focusing on how to cross the street safely.  Children will receive classroom instruction followed by the opportunity to practice  what they have learned with a guided walk through the Safety Village.NotesThe program is 75 minutes in length. Class sizes are capped at 33 students per session.Before going outside students are divided into groups with teachers and parent volunteers (the recommended ratio is 1:7).The booking of the buses and all costs related to transportation to and from the Children’s Safety Village is the booking groups responsibility.Please ensure children are dressed appropriately for the weather. This program runs rain or shine.Grade 1: Railway SafetyThe Grade 1 Railway Safety Program will teach children about railway safety through material provided by CN Rail and an interactive experience in the Safety Village.  NotesThe program is 75 minutes in length. Class sizes are capped at 33 students per session.The booking of the buses and all costs related to transportation to and from the Children’s Safety Village is the booking groups responsibility.Grade 3: Bike & Scooter SafetyThe Grade 3 Bike Safety Program will teach children the basics of bike safety, including instruction on traffic arm signals and helmet laws.  The Grade 2 Road Safety Program will teach children about road safety and its importance within community safety. Children will be given the opportunity to practice their learning by driving mini cars throughout the Safety Village.  We are happy to offer this program from September-November 2025 & April-June 2026.                                                                                                                                                            NotesThe program is 75 minutes in length. Class sizes are capped at 33 students per session.The organization and associated costs of a Grade 2 bussing booking only can be covered by Halton Student Transportation Services.
