Welcome to Rope 101! This is the perfect class for you if you've just picked up rope for the first time and want to learn basic ties. In this class you'll get hands on instruction for all of your beginner rigger needs. We'll go over safety, common terms, rope handling techniques, fundamental ties and knots, and start to work out how to create satisfying scenes on the ground. While you are more than welcome to come to my studio to learn in person, this class is also available via zoom/google meet if you'd rather learn from the comfort of your own home! 

This class is for riggers who are ready to take their skills to the air! In this class you will learn how to suspend safely and efficiently using uplines and lock-offs, how to assess hard points, what makes a harness safe for suspension, and other basic tips and tricks. This class is solely for those who have been tying competently on the ground for some time and have an understanding and familiarity of basic harnesses and rope safety. This class requires you to bring a tying partner who is comfortable being suspended and aware of the risks involved therein. Due to the inherent risk involved in suspension, this class can only be taught in person at my studio. Address given upon booking. 

Lessons at this price point are reserved for those who are facing financial hardship, POC, and SWs. Historically, rope education has not been accessible to those community members who would benefit from it the most. I strongly believe that rope is for everyone who wishes to learn and am happy to share my knowledge with others who would normally find it hard to access at other, more expensive prices.
