The ball rolling class is easy and gentle. This is an amazing self-help tool which allows you to learn more about your body. It is great for anyone no matter your level of fitness. If you are already doing a strengthening class, this class will be very complementary to that.
Each week we will work through different areas of the body. If you wish to purchase the balls, you may do that so you can continue to use them at home. All you are required to bring to the class is your yoga mat. Make sure to wear form fitting, comfortable clothing. Baggy clothes will tend to get caught up in the ball when rolling.
Just like after a massage, you may feel fatigued, tender in areas worked and sometimes feel almost flu-like. This is completely normal. Just make sure to drink lots of water and get your rest.
Like with any new workout regime, if you have any health concerns or are receiving treatment for cancer, heart conditions or any other systemic conditions, you may want to discuss with your doctor if it is advisable to start ball rolling classes.
The 4-week series begins Thursday August 1 at 7:30pm at Kahlena Movement Studio. Each class will be one hour in duration. Balls used in the class will be offered for purchase.
Class size will be limited to 10 people so please sign up early.
