Our smallmouth bass trips are a great way to keep fishing during the heat of the summer. These wild, hard striking, and hard fighting fish provide continuous action throughout the heat of the day when other fishing slows down. We offer 2 full day guide trip options for smallmouth: float trips and walk/wade trips. Walk/wade-we walk and wade the smaller bass streams in southwest Wisconsin think Driftless trout fishing meets smallmouth bass. For the float trips, we’ll be on the Lower Wisconsin River.

A fly casting lesson is the key to getting started in fly fishing, and it gives you the most important skill for the pursuit. It also helps you become a better angler. We offer introductory lessons for beginners, casting tune-up for the intermediate angler, and advanced lessons for the angler going on that saltwater trip of a lifetime.

These trips take us deeper into the Driftless Area farther away from Madison, and off the beaten path. You’ll be provided with 8 hours of guided fishing, tackle, and a lunch to keep you fueled up. A full day trip gives you more time to hone your skills and practice what you’ve learned. We’ll have the opportunity to fish lots of quality streams that have higher densities of wild brown trout per mile, and more opportunities to catch quality fish.

Every October the chinook(King) salmon swim up the Lake Michigan tributaries on their spawning run giving anglers the chance to catch a fish that’s 3 feet long or bigger. It’s like the Midwest’s Alaska without the bears and the pricey airfares. Big fish are caught, arms get sore, rods are broken, and fun is had.

November and December bring a unique opportunity to the Lake Michigan tributary streams-a chance to catch the biggest trout of your life during the spawning runs for lake-run brown trout and steelhead. The colder the weather and water temperature, the better your chances of landing a trophy lake-run trout on a fly. Coho salmon are also in the rivers at this time too. These are full day trips only.
