All AAU tutoring sessions are one hour long.Tutoring is available between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. No emails or work will be addressed outside of these hours, and tutoring or email responses will not take place on weekends.You can choose to have your tutoring session in room L308, the AAU Cafe, the student lounge, or a coffee shop in Prague. The location will be decided between you and your tutor for each session.If you need help with academic writing (such as a paper), please email the paper to your tutor at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. Note: Please DO NOT book a session the day before your paper is due, both you and the tutor need more time to help you with the paper. To make the most of your session on academic writing, please come prepared by reading the assignment instructions thoroughly beforehand.All tutoring sessions are in person, unless you have been approved for online learning by the Admissions or Dean's Office. If so, please provide your tutor with documentation (an email from Admissions or the Dean’s Office) before scheduling a session on Teams.Two general sessions available for booking are: 1) Understanding Academic Writing and How to Cite Sources, and 2) General Study Skills (such as reading strategies or time management). You can request these sessions by indicating your preference in the booking form. The Academic Tutoring Center provides peer-to-peer tutoring, led by current AAU students.

Tutoring Center with Jean Kallenburg

This Monday I went to the Tutoring Center and Wow! Jean Kallenburg was very professional and she managed to help me out so much with anything I asked. I would recommend anyone to use the Academic Tutoring Center as a great resource.

Tutoring Center with Beksultan Kalbekov

I was tutored by Beksultan Kalbekov this Friday over basic concepts for a few standardized tests I will be taking later in the winter. Seeing as I haven't done math in three years, I thought the tutoring session would be quite frustrating and the concepts would take long to understand. Beksultan explained everything in a manner which was easily comprehensible and also provided alternative examples and solution methods. I will definitely be booking another session and would recommend him to anyone who needs math help.

Delighted!

I didn't have any issues scheduling an appointment and overall the meeting went swell! Tessa Bries was really kind and gave some helpful tips on an important semester project! She was very insightful and recommended options on how I could really improve my paper. Thank you, I'll certainly come again!

Since I have started using AAU tutoring centre, I have improved in my writing and now I'm getting good grades and I'm happy. I think everyone should use this services.

Cancelled appointments

Unfortunately, out of all of my five appointments, three were cancelled right before they were scheduled. The review was obligatory for my class, so this was a great complication.
