SGS Krav Maga is Southern Sydney’s premier Krav Maga training centre and is more than a place where people come to learn self-defence. SGS Krav Maga provides practical and reality-based self-defence lessons based on the curriculum endorsed by the leading Global organisation of Krav Maga.
All SGS Krav Maga Instructors are KMG certified,
Classes on offer are, Kids Self Defence Classes, Teens Self Defence, Women's Self Defence, Adult Mixed Self Defence Classes, Sambo, Striking and Sparring.

Steve started Krav Maga in 2010 with KMG (Krav Maga Global) and completed the KMG Instructor course and received his instructors’ certification in 2014. He completed his Krav Maga Instructors’ Certificate under Rune Lind (Norway, KMG Expert Level 5 and Global Team Instructor).
In 2016 Steve undertook the CMIC (Combat Mindset Instructors Course) and was certified to become a Combat Mindset Instructor.
In 2017 Steve completed the Kids Instructor course and the Womens Instructor course.
In 2019 Steve became the first SGS Krav Maga Instructor to visit the Expert camp in Israel, where he completed and was certified officially as an Expert 1 Instructor under KMG.
He has also involved in the MILES (Military, Law Enforcement and Security) industry for over six years.
Steve is a big believer in the KMG system and has an aim to spread KMG Krav Maga to as many people as possible.

Stella started learning Krav Maga in 2014 and completed her Krav Maga instructor’s course with KMG (Krav Maga Global) in July 2018, under Franklyn Hartkamp Expert 4 (Netherlands).
Stella also undertook the Women’s Instructor course (WIC) and Kids Instructor course (KIC) in 2017.
Before learning Krav Maga, Stella practiced Hapkido for over 4 years before deciding she wanted to learn something more realistic and practical.
Stella is hard working and dedicated instructor who aims to pass on all her knowledge and skills learnt from KMG to as many students as possible. Stella is particularly passionate about empowering women and children in her community through KMG.

Ryan Lodge - Head Instructor, Kids Division
Ryan started Krav Maga in 2017 and completed his instructor’s course with KMG (Krav Maga Global) in 2020.
Ryan is the lead instructor for SGS Krav Maga’s Kids Self-Defence division. Ryan completed his KMG Kid’s Instructor course in 2019.
Ryan is a hard-working instructor with a goal to encourage individuals to be able to protect themselves in times of need.
Ryan is passionate about self-defence and passing on his knowledge and skills attained through the many years of training to eager students willing to learn.

KMG‘s training methods for women are based on years of experience, as well as numerous real-life situations in which women found our system to be the most effective.
Our Krav Maga for women system provides excellent self-defence skills, producing the highest rate of defence successes in facing and successfully repelling various types of attacks.
In addition to the technical and tactical training we also help women develop the right mindset to support and enhance their physical readiness to fight. This includes working to develop determination, persistence, and aggression as tools for women to use whenever the situation requires it.

One of our primary missions with our teen classes is fostering mental strength. A strong mind is agile, aware and confident. Far from being a physical-only class, Krav Maga for teens trains young minds to think and react with an emphasis on situational awareness and creative problem-solving.
