First Time On A Horse

Lindsay gave our 6 year old daughter Nora a terrific start to riding, first brushing and getting comfortable with Annie (the horse), then riding around in a spacious indoor arena. It was a perfect first experience and Nora is already desperate to try again soon.

Lindsay was clear in her words and instruction and listened to my needs. Essentially, starting over from too much time out of the seat is humbling, plus rebuilding my confidence. Looking forward to continuing my journey with horses and Lindsay. Huey was a great horse to begin my riding.

Riding Lessons at Cape Ledge Farm

My five year old loves her lessons at Cape Ledge. She especially loves Edger! Emily and Marcia have been great boosting her self confidence and improving her understanding of the horse / rider connection.

A sweet return!

We had to take a few weeks off from riding weekly with Marcia (preK graduation and a packed end-of-school year schedule), so when our son got back in the saddle, literally, he was beaming! We are so grateful to the farm! Marcia is a dream to work with and whether on Edgar, Pony, or Potato - he has the best time (and has developed in to quite the extraordinary horseman!)

Very knowledgeable and professional, but also laid back and fun. She did a great job of communicating to figure out what my capabilities are and what my comfort level is with horses as we went. It was a perfect reintroduction to horses and riding with Edgar and Lindsay.

Great Riding Lesson

My son really enjoys his riding lessons with Lindsay and Potato. Very safe, professional, and exciting for young riders. The farm is beautiful and well run. Everyone is very friendly.

Exciting, interesting and fun.

Lindsay has been outstanding professional and responsive in all ways. I have learned so much. She is also patient upbeat and fun to be around which helps so much in learning. I want to get enough experience to ride Gunner a thoroughbred horse. I’m getting there! Cape ledge is a wonderful place to be even when you’re not riding! Thank You.

Thrilled!

About a year ago I finally signed up my kiddo (who was on the cusp of six) for a lesson after many months of requests. I’m sorry I waited so long because not only does he love it, he has learned so much about horses and built a confidence I never expected not having ridden much myself. His instructor Marcia is thoughtful, kind, and clearly a master and has also started teaching my near four-year old how to ride as well. It is simply amazing that my older kiddo knew nothing about horses and can now control a horse, focus on paying attention to his body and that of the horse, and exhibits so much confidence. The owner Brittany is also incredible helpful and great to work with. I can’t recommend Cape Ledge enough for the instruction of young riders as our experience has been excellent.
