Hi, I booked in for a boot fit for hybrid boots as I was uncertain whether to ditch my present pair and change to something with an easier mechanism to click between ski and walk mode for touring. I have a VERY difficult foot to fit - super narrow and low volume. I specifically went to Ski Bartlett due to the range of boots on offer with you. Tom made some tweaks to my present Rossignol boots which I bought 2 years ago after several trips to a specialist UK boot fitter and had been fitted with custom fit orthotics. After a very thorough review of my feet and boots, Tom made my present boots easier to for me to get full forward ankle flexion and suggested seeing how this went before possibly trying out some different boots next season. Despite buying the zip fit custom liners for the fitting session online from Ski Bartlett thinking that this might solve some of my issues, Tom rapidly dissuaded me from trying to fit these into my present boots as they would make them stiffer and even harder to fully flex. He was then able to refund this purchase to put towards new boots for next season. Absolutely great service and zero hard sell!

Ski Touring Fit November 2024

I previously bought boots from Ski Bartlett and have been on many occasions. On this occasion I was looking for ski touring boots in the price range of 500-800. Given my previous boots were bought over ten years ago I felt it was reasonable to try many different pairs of boots. (I simply can’t recall skiing before my current boots, they are very comfortable but can’t tour) I was essentially given a binary option of dalbello and atomic hybrid boots and it felt like I had to make a snap decision there on the spot when neither felt comfortable at that time. I simply didn’t feel like I could spend 500+ pounds on boots that didn’t feel right without a reference point. I would have really appreciated the opportunity to test other boots even if they didn’t fit so I had that reference point of comfort vs performance fit or even when it simply did not fit. I went to Ellis Brigham in convent garden and tried about 10 different types of boots (at no charge whatsoever) and then did the full fitting service afterwards. I really appreciated that since it was now a clear and obvious choice about what fit me, and what compromises I’d be making. I’m still a fan of ski Bartlett but it was a shame for it not to work out after many positive experiences before.

Great boot fitting with Alex. Very thorough, methodical and professional. Great knowledge and listened attentively to issues. Unhurried and precise fit. Skied the boots afterwards and the result was fantastic - skied better than ever and enjoyed it much more. Transformative. Definitely got a return customer here.

Excellent Service and Boot Fit

Arranged for a boot fitting whilst in the UK. Bartletts generously changed the fitting time to suit my flight. Billy was excellent. Honest and realistic during fitting and extremely knowledgeable, found the perfect boots for me. This will definitely be my first port of call for skiing requirements and I would absolutely recommend anyone to go there for a boot fitting.

Great boot fit again

Re fitted my daughters boots with Russell, as always great experience, hugely knowledgeable and approachable and has a great manner with the kids. First class ! Also an alteration to my recently purchased boots, Tom identified the issue and has sorted the problem.
