Your session in the chamber itself will last 3 minutes. 3 minutes is the optimal duration to create our golden target of a drop in surface body temperature of 10 degrees centigrade. This is what kick starts the amazing systemic changes caused by WBC and will leave you feeling fantastic. 

Each of your appointments will last approximately 20 minutes, upon arrival we will help you complete a few pre-requisites before we can commence with each treatment. We will:

    Ask you to complete our pre-screening medical questionnaire (or ensure its accuracy for returning clients)    Talk you through the WBC experience and let you know exactly what to expect    Give you time to change into the appropriate attire for your session

You must bring the following items with you to enable you to enter the chamber for each of your treatments.

For our Female Clients:

    Ladies can wear either underwear, shorts and a crop top or a swimming costume whilst in     the chamber (no metal/underwire).    Thick socks    Dressing gown or similar to wear between the changing rooms and the chamber. This can be     taken off once you are inside the     chamber and passed to your therapist. Your therapist     will pass it back to you to put on before opening the chamber once your      session is over.    Face mask (this must be worn at all times when in the facilities and the chamber) 

For our Male Clients:

    Shorts or swimming trunks to be worn in the chamber    Thick socks    Dressing gown or similar to wear between the changing rooms and the chamber. This can be     taken off once you are inside the     chamber and passed to your therapist. Your therapist     will pass it back to you to put on before opening the chamber once your      session is over.    Face mask (this must be worn at all times when in the facilities and the chamber) 

7CryoHealth will provide you will provide you with slippers and gloves to wear during your treatment. With the exception of rings and earrings (as these will be covered or outside of the chamber) please ensure you remove all other jewellery prior to your session commencing.

Please arrive 5 minutes before your stated session start time.

This is a two person slot within a session period of 20 mins, both individuals will have 3 minutes in the cryotherapy chamber each. Making sure you can always get a slot together, and saving yourself money!

A Functional Assessment is the evaluation of a patient before he or she embarks on a physical rehabilitation programme. It involves taking a history from the owner and assessing the animal's posture, demeanour, gait and condition of the neuro-muscular and musculo-skeletal systems.

This is a physical rehabilitation treatment which may include various different modalities. Your animal must have undergone a Functional Assessment before these appointments can be booked.

An Underwater Treadmill Treatment involves the dog going into a glass tank that fills with water to the appropriate height for that specific dog. Within the glass tank there is a treadmill belt.  We can control the speed of the treadmill as well as vary the height of the water, introduce inclines and jets to challenge the dog when appropriate.  We use the properties of water, i.e. buoyancy, resistance, cohesion and surface tension to off-load arthritic and/or painful joints and to improve muscle tone and bulk in the supporting muscles.  Underwater Treadmill Treatment is also excellent for weight loss and gait re-training. Only dogs who have undergone a Functional Assessment may book for an Underwater Treadmill treatment.  Although the sessions are booked for 45 minutes, we will only work the dog at the level of difficulty that is appropriate for him or her on the day.

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to treat a wide variety of complaints and to maintain well being.

How does it work and what effects does it have?

Acupuncture stimulates the body to heal itself. Research has shown pain relief correlates to increased endorphins in cerebrospinal fluid – showing that the body has manufactured its own ‘opiates’ for pain relief and healing. There may be changes in temperature and muscle tone. Generally there is a ‘normalising’ effect so that if a person is tense they will relax and a person who is lethargic will feel more energised.

Many people can reduce or stop their pain medications as symptoms resolve.

Acupuncture heals anyone, including  animals. The million dollar race horses have acupuncture as they heal faster, without drugs ( and side effects) and they love it. 

Who would benefit?

Just about anyone will feel better after acupuncture. Some people like to use it for relaxation and general well being. 

What conditions can be treated?

Fertility and Period pain

Pregnancy: Morning sickness – very safe, no drugs. the nausea often stops or greatly reduces in the first session and usually within a few sessions. 

Acupuncture has been used to turn breech babies and for those Mums who are overdue it may be used to bring on labour and thus avoid 'the 'drip' 

Clients often alternate between Acupuncture and physio for timely and balanced recovery

Is it safe?

Lesley uses the finest Japanese needles. They are sterile and single use only. Many people are surprised at how pleasant it is. Most of the time needle insertion is painless.
