This 4 week class is designed to discover and capture the love of creativity.  Artwork from history (Such as Van Gogh and Monet) will be used as inspiration for your children's new artwork.  Design elements such as balance, contrast, pattern, value, and color will be visited as your child grows his or her drawing skills and enjoys the process of creation.  EACH CHILD WILL BE GIVEN A SKETCHBOOK and will be encourage to practice their skills during the week to show the teacher at the next lesson.For the month, each class will be building upon the specific Theme of that month.  ALL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE CLASS.

This 4 week class is a setting for exploration of your child's abilities.  Your child will be taken at his or her current level and taught principles of design to improve upon drawing and perception.  Attention to detail, shading, and proportion will be touched on as they explore their abilities and enjoy creative expression.  Artwork from history will be used as inspiration for creativity and discussion in the classroom.  Your child will be taught how to take his or her art to local competitions if so desired.For the month, each class will be building upon the specific Theme of that month.  ALL MATERIALS ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE CLASS.

Each week during the month, personalized instruction will be given according to the skill level of the artist.  Preparation for entrance into art programs at colleges, ateliers, and other schools often requires a portfolio.  The teenage years are a good time to prepare for future jobs in the visual arts as well as have the competitive edge at state fairs and other art competitions.  We will continue to develop the artist's understanding of the principles of art, which are the building blocks of good design.
