For your SCU Chamber Singers audition, please bring to the a prepared piece that you feel showcases your voice. If you have the sheet music, Dr. Hanna-Weir will be happy to accompany you. Otherwise, you may sing a cappella. Any style or genre is appropriate as long as you feel confident singing it. After performing your prepared selection, you will do some vocalization to check range and some sight-reading. Please arrive 5 minutes ahead of your audition time slot. Auditions are held in Dr. Hanna-Weir’s office: Room 218 of the Music and Dance Facility at the northwest corner of campus. The SCU Chamber Singers rehearse from 3:30-6:20 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Singers in Chamber Singers register for Chamber Singers but participate in both Chamber Singers and Concert Choir (5:20-6:20). Chamber Singers generally make a year long commitment to the ensemble.

For rehearings for current (or past) members for the 2019-2020 season, please bring a piece of the chorale's repertoire (either current or past repertoire is fine) that you feel you can perform and showcases your voice. We'll hear a short excerpt from our repertoire, do some vocalizing, and a bit of sight reading.
