Description: At Level 1, new riders learn to control and master their bikes in a space away from traffic such as a playground. Skills such as preparing yourself and your bike for cycling, getting on and off your bike without help, bike control and special awareness will be addressed. Age Range: Trainees would be in Year 3 or 4 and max group of 12 pupils. Length of course: This is a morning / afternoon session lasting 2 hours. (Eg 60 pupils could be addressed in 3 days with AM and PM sessions). Typical timings: 9am-11am / 1pm-3pm

Description: At Level 2, after successfully completing level 1, riders ride on local streets giving trainees a real cycling experience. Trainees learn how to deal with traffic on short journeys such as cycling to school or the local shops. Skills such as preparing for on-road cycling, recognising road hazards and knowing where to ride on the road will be addressed. Age Range: Trainees would be in Year 5 or 6 and max group of 12 pupils. Length of course: This is a morning / afternoon session lasting 3 hours per group per day and delivered over 2 days, following a 2 hour Level 1 session first. This would equate to 8 hours per group learning time. (Eg 24 pupils could be addressed across 2 days with Group 1, 12 pupils in AM and Group 2, 12 pupils in PM sessions). Typical timings: Level 1 – 9am-11am / 1pm-3pm. Level 2 - 9am-12pm / 12.30pm-3.30pm per day

Description: If you can balance but can’t pedal, this is the course for you. Generally taught after Balance but before Level 1 Age Range: Suitable for Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 and max group of 6 pupils. Length of course: This is a morning / afternoon session lasting 1.5 hours. (Eg 12 pupils could be addressed in a day with AM and PM sessions). Typical timings: 9am-10.30am / 1pm-2.30pm
