You'll be shown a bit about one of the most important jobs in a Beekeeper's season; Swarm Control! Next, you'll be shown what everyday equipment a Beekeeper needs; you've seen the smoker; and possible a hive tool, but what other kit do we need? Finally, get straight on with handling the bees yourself and learning about what you see! What does inside a beehive actually look like? Suitable for 1-2 people.

The session includes, an introduction to equipment, the life cycle of honeybees, how to support bees at home, and of course the practical experience inside the hive! You'll be guided through it and taught about what you're seeing each step of the ay, from Eggs to the Queen to Honey! Refreshments provided.

Designed as a more "meaty" and detailed experience, you will be shown the different tools and equipment, what to look for in a bee inspection, and how to manage your own bees. Next, dive into the Honey extraction process; see how honey would be made! Suitable for 1-3 people. (Please note that you will NOT be extracting real honey until August - it will be a demonstration).
