Join us on a 4-week (1 class a week) journey where we will provide you with an all round basic knowledge of photography as an art form and potential business opportunity, equipping you with all the basics of photography. Including technical settings, compositional considerations, visual communication and basic photo editing all in one comprehensive course. The course consists of four lessons and a practical outing. During the first lesson you will be introduced to the basic settings of your DSLR and how these settings will affect your photographs. The second lesson aims to familiarise you with the principles of light, both natural and flash. During the third lesson you will be taught the creative aspects of photography such as composition. In the fourth lesson you will be taught digital workflow including storage, processing and resolution in addition to some basic Photoshop techniques. Lecturers will take you through the course step by step, imparting knowledge to ensure that you consistently produce excellent photographs. You will be required to complete projects during the course in addition to an early morning outing with lecturers to put into practice all that you have learnt.
