Dr. Blair Cushing an osteopathic physician board certified in Family Medicine. She also has particular interest and additional experience in reproductive health, palliative care, osteopathic manipulation, and hospital medicine. Over the years, Dr. Cushing has been employed in numerous healthcare settings and is excited to have the opportunity to take care of patients directly while cultivating a safe environment that is not constrained by the administrative burdens of a larger organization. Dr. Cushing has been working in the Rio Grande Valley since 2019, previously at the last remaining abortion clinic on the border. Following the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade in the summer of 2022, she became determined to not give up on the community and find a way to continue to provide a safe space where patients can openly express their concerns and consider all of their healthcare options. Opening this clinic was the best thing she could think of to respond to the injustice patients in restrictive states like Texas are facing.Focusing on overall wellness and healing our physical bodies is a particular passion for Dr. Cushing. She offers osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) to help restore the body's ideal alignment to promote optimal function. After nearly a decade of personal yoga practice, Dr. Cushing completed a 200hr-YTT in 2023. She is continuing to advance her studies in the practices of yoga therapy, ayurveda, and functional medicine and is excited to incorporate these additional treatment modalities to her care. The clinic is entirely cash-pay and we do not accept or bill any insurance. Payment in full is required at the time of your visit. This allows us to keep fees at price points substantially lower than traditional medical practices. We take patient privacy very seriously.
