Audio/video recording sessions for opera singers and other classical musicians. We organise everything - pianist, recordist, venue. You just turn up and perform! The easiest way to produce audition tapes and video demos in London. We offer two main types of Recording Day:Collaborative Recording DaysWith 60 minute slots, usually at St Stephen's Church in Dulwich, organised by collaborative pianist Florent Mourier, and engineered by Jan Capiński or Joseph Porter-Bolger these sessions focus on giving you all the freedom and support you need to perform at your best. There’s enough time to have a rehearsal and approach the recording in a thoughtful way. The setting looks great on camera and singers often comment on how much they enjoy the generous acoustic of St Stephen’s. Florent is an excellent collaborative pianist (regularly working with the ROH, GSMD, NOS) and puts a lot of care and preparation into these recordings.The basic package includes post production of single camera audition tapes. Multi-camera fully edited video demos are an optional extra and will be charged separately.Drop-In Recording DaysWith 45 minute slots, held at St Mary's church in Merton Park, organised by Jan Capiński, these are shorter sessions, so efficiency is key. A black backdrop delivers a clean, neutral look (though does constrain the amount of movement that’s possible to capture), and an acoustic drier than most churches produces a well-controlled sound. Jan uses a variety of pianists, many of whom are stalwarts of the opera scene in London and have played for countless auditions and rehearsals, so in general they turn up and play (though they do get the rep list in advance, so will practice anything that needs it).The session fee for these slots does NOT include editing, which is added on according to clients’ needs.We operate waiting lists for all our dates.
