This is an 8-week class that is designed to help those who are battling depression or PTSD to learn how to use different types of art to help in their battle. This class will teach students different forms of art and help them find one or two that will help them express their emotions through art instead of keeping it inside them. Students will receive all materials to use, including a sketch book free of charge. Class is 2 hours long, but students can stay up to an extra hour after any class. Students can join at any time during a class at a reduced rate. Contact studio to start during a class.

Learn the history and basic fundamentals of photography using film or digital medium. The students will have the option to build a working pinhole camera to use with film. 

The class is an hour a week for 4 weeks.

The class will teach proper handling of the tools and how to use every tool, and then the students will each build a one of a kind project.  The class will be an hour a week for 4 weeks.  Students can stay up to 45 minutes after class working on their project. Students will have some access to some wood to use in their project at no cost but depending on the size of the project they may need to buy their own wood through the studio or a hardware store. Students will have the option to come to class for a 5^th week if they have not finished their project by the end of the 4^th week.

From this class, you will design a bracelet and be introduced to basic leather making tools. You will learn how to construct a bracelet and use techniques, such as saddle-stitching, sanding, and edge-painting. Feel free to bring your own hardware!

From this class, you will make a passport holder and be introduced to basic leather making tools. You will learn how to construct a passport holder and techniques such as saddle-stitching, cutting leathers, and edge-painting. Have fun personalizing your passport holder by engraving initials (upon request)!

Façonnez des créations uniques sans nécessiter de four. Parfait pour créer des objets décoratifs variés tels que petits pots, mini-décorations, plateaux porte-bijoux ou bougeoirs. Veuillez noter que ces créations ne doivent pas être lavées et ne conviennent pas pour contenir des aliments ou des boissons.

Parents can get some grown-up time to explore Florence while we work with the kids on a chosen project ranging from drawing & painting (the basis of art) to fresco / graffito, mosaic, mixed media, or sculpture under the guidance of our studio artist and arts educator, Marco or one of his Fine Arts docents at his exclusive art academy right in the heart of Florence. Kids only or family art projects taking inspiration from the beauty of Florence. You can choose which option fits your "piccoli artisti" best: Kids or Family private workshop 100 euro/ student for 2.5 hr. lesson OR Your children join a group art class with local Italian children 50 euro/child 1.5hr. or 100/child for 3hr. All materials included. Deposit of 50 euros requested at time of booking, you can pay the balance on the day of your class.

This course begins with an art history lesson explaining the origins and techniques of typical Tuscan ceramic arts, followed by a step-by-step workshop on painting plates with typical Renaissance designs along with a snack and tea or wine in the artist's studio. Your hand-crafted Florentine-style plates will need firing – extra charge for express firing, but for families with a few days in Florence can pick up their finished works at this incredible artisan workshop. 240 euro for 2-4 people + 40 euro each additional person (up to 10 participants).

Life models: Please arrive at LEAST 15 minutes before you are due to pose. In Glasgow we begin at 7pm and in Edinburgh we begin at 7.30pm. If you arrive less than 10 minutes before we begin the session, the hosts have the right to book another model as they may assume you are not coming. Please bring a robe with you and get ready and in to position 5 minutes before the session begins so that our event hosts can introduce you. Please aim to pick standing poses for the 2s and 5s and possibly the 10s. Seated and kneeling are great for the longer poses. Please avoid lying flat on the floor for any of your poses as it is very difficult for sketchers to see you. Of course if you have any disabilities or physical discomfort, let ATYN hosts know at the beginning and we will set up a comfortable place for you to pose. You may be paid in cash on the night, but if not please email Joanna with your bank details. Please note that models who arrive on time and create new and interesting poses will be asked back to work more frequently. Thank you for booking and enjoy the session!
