This is an 8-week class that is designed to help those who are battling depression or PTSD to learn how to use different types of art to help in their battle. This class will teach students different forms of art and help them find one or two that will help them express their emotions through art instead of keeping it inside them. Students will receive all materials to use, including a sketch book free of charge. Class is 2 hours long, but students can stay up to an extra hour after any class. Students can join at any time during a class at a reduced rate. Contact studio to start during a class.

Learn the history and basic fundamentals of photography using film or digital medium. The students will have the option to build a working pinhole camera to use with film. The class is an hour a week for 4 weeks.

The class will teach proper handling of the tools and how to use every tool, and then the students will each build a one of a kind project.  The class will be an hour a week for 4 weeks.  Students can stay up to 45 minutes after class working on their project. Students will have some access to some wood to use in their project at no cost but depending on the size of the project they may need to buy their own wood through the studio or a hardware store. Students will have the option to come to class for a 5th week if they have not finished their project by the end of the 4th week.

Using a hot pen to create a design in a piece of wood.   There are different types of wood burning pens and tips for different styles.  This class will teach a few different technics of how someone can wood burn including using paint, stain or just wood and the burning tool.  The class will be 4 weeks long for an hour a week.  The students will create a wood burned sign of their own design. Each student will have access to use of a hot pen and will receive a piece of wood to make their sign out of at no extra charge. Students can stay up to 15 minutes after class to work on sign.

Design flat pieces of resin art with marbled colors or create and use molds to build your unique resin art.  The class will teach both styles and the students will participate in creating a one of a kind project. Students will have access to enough resign to make a 6 x 6 piece of resin art at no charge. Any additional resin needed will need to be purchased through the studio. The class will be an hour a week for 4 weeks. Students can stay up to 15 minutes after class working on their project. Students will have the option to come to class for a 5th week if they have not finished their project by the end of the 4th week.

Blacksmithing is the process of working with metal to create individual parts, assemblies, or large scale structures. The class will be teaching this fine art. The class will learn how to use all equipment properly including a gas forge and then make one of a few different options transforming a piece of scrap metal into a usable working tool. The class is one day and usually last between 2-3 hours. Students will be able to stay until their tool is completed if they need more than 3 hours. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parent or guardian does not need to pay for class unless they want to participate and make their own tool. Students will receive the metal to use to build their tool at no extra charge. Students will be able to stay until their tool is completed if they need more than 3 hours. Max 4 students per class.
