About the company
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, previous New Haven bike-share programs that relied on ads and membership subscriptions were suspended indefinitely. Recognizing the financial burden that purchasing a bicycle poses on students and the dearth of bike rental programs in New Haven, our team seeks to promote bike culture in the Yale community, student health, and community connections.The Equitable Bikeshare@Yale (EB@Y) is a Yale Student Environmental Coalition (YSEC) pilot project to be introduced in Pierson College for undergraduate students. The project seeks to improve equitable access to alternative modes of transportation by introducing a sustainably sourced fleet of 6 bicycles that accommodate different heights and needs of students.Gallery
