About the company
The primary role of an herbalist is to provide support and education. The practice of herbalism is based, in part, on the belief that the human body is a dynamic and resilient system, and that with plant allies and a supportive environment, an individual can shift patterns within their body system to be better aligned with their overall health goals. The role of an herbalist is neither to diagnose nor directly treat disease. Rather, herbalists work with diet, lifestyle, plant allies, and raw plant based material to create herbal formulas and provide support to a client. As a Hearth Witch, we do not “use” plants- we work and learn alongside them. The work we do is what some may call “women’s work” or magic, though, we think it’s more complicated than that. A fire tended is a fire tended, regardless. The self, the space, the soul- the work is not gendered, though, perhaps, assumptions about power, roles, and bodies required to do this work, may be telling if one insists that the world exists simply as what one sees with one's eye.At Hearth Witch Herbals, LLC, our mission is to empower the individual with information about complimentary plant allies, offer advocacy, and ethical, skilled folk services.Gallery
